UML Survey

The Software Engineering Research Group at DIBRIS (Dipartimento di Informatica, Bioingegneria, Robotica e Ingegneria dei Sistemi) of University of Genoa is proposing a survey, whose objective is to collect information on the knowledge and usage of UML in industrial and academic reality, to the purpose to understand the actual UML diffusion.

In particular, the survey focuses on UML Diagrams and constructs of Use Case Diagrams and Activity Diagrams. It is composed of four sections, requiring less than 15 minutes to be completed in total.

The first section will gather personal data of the survey participants, along with individual and organizational experience in UML. The second section collects the knowledge owned in UML Diagrams, while the last two sections are centered on Use Case Diagram and Activity Diagram constructs.

All collected data are confidential and no detailed informations will be published, accordingly to Italian law n. 193/2003.

We thank you in advance for the few minutes you will spend answering our questions. At due date, you will receive a technical report about the results achieved by this survey.

Note that this survey addresses only to who has at least a basic UML knowledge, so if you are not familiar with UML we strongly suggest not to contribute.
